Karen Arbulú  (1957) hails from Lima, Peru.

She has ben crafting jewelry and ornaments for nearly twenty five years. She learned her craft from Peruvian artisans and later on she spent some time in Florence, Italy developing her knowledge of jewelry-making techniques.

Her sources of inspiration come from the ancient Andean cultures of her native Peru, the desert landscapes that characterize the Peruvian coastline and the mystical traditions of Peruvian shamans.

All this outcomes in a very personal work with no limits when using techniques and materials.

She mostly uses silver, gold, copper, brass, Peruvian stones, leather and other natural materials seeking to bring together tho organic and the inorganic.                                                                                      ,
